The Bloomsbury Festival
Premiering in 2025, my short documentary explores the 2024 Bloomsbury Festival, celebrating the fusion of art, science, and culture.
Through the lens of this year’s theme, Human.Kind, the film highlights the festival’s global diversity, showcasing how creativity fosters connection and empathy across cultures.

Joe Duggan is an Irish contemporary artist whose sculpture Echo was featured in Russell Square for the 2024 Bloomsbury Festival, marking the first contemporary work ever commissioned by the park. Additionally, Duggan's collection, Natural Frequencies and Other Devices, was showcased at Senate House.
Mei Lock
Memories of a Takeaway is a narrative-driven textile project by Mei Lock, an artist on the Advanced Textiles course at City Lit and a shortlisted finalist in the 2024 Bloomsbury Festival Art Prize. Through her work, Mei invites audiences to explore British culture from the perspective of first and second-generation Hong Kong Chinese migrant families.
Alot Teatro Collective
A captivating physical-musical ensemble piece by the Alot Teatro Collective, this performance explores the intricate relationship between the voices and bodies of the singers. Drawing from Mediterranean oral traditions, the performance’s musical dramaturgy is built on reimagined polyphonic chants.
Samka Meets Neo Norte
A vibrant celebration of the Global South, this contemporary performance honors the experience of ancestral Andean cultures through music, dance, and movement. Blending movement, writing, recycled fabrics, and the traditional Laqan Paxhi wind instrument, the performance creates a ritual that celebrates intuition and the deep cultural values tied to the natural environment.
Patrick Bayele
SOGYA is a powerful lyrical epic of crisis, heroism, and cultural reclamation, offering a visceral theatrical experience that honors Commonwealth soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the Second World War. Created by Patrick Bayele, SOGYA is deeply personal, inspired by Patrick’s great-uncle, a member of the Dagaaba tribe in the Northern Territories of the Gold Coast (modern-day Ghana).
