Co-founders Loretta Andro Chung and Sarah Hallonquist started their two-dyke beer operation amid the pandemic.
In 2016, the pair founded Dyke Bar Takeover, a company that takes over bars and, for a night, turns them into spaces specifically for dykes.

1. A term reclaimed within the LGBTQ+ community to encompass lesbian and bisexual women, as well as transgender and nonbinary individuals. Broadly used to describe anyone in the LGBTQ+ community who is not a cisgender man.
2. Historically used as a slur, "dyke" has been reappropriated as a term of empowerment and inclusivity, often seen as more encompassing than "lesbian."
